Control4 System Stability Issues

Thank you for your ongoing support of Chowmain Software & Apps.
 
Recently Control4 notified us of an issue that effects the debug log functionality in all Chowmain drivers.  This issue effects system stability on systems with OS 2.6 and above.  It only occurs in rare cases where the debug logs are set to 'Print and Log' or 'Log' and if the dealer forgets to set it back to Off after an extremely long period of time.  We have since resolved this issue on all Chowmain drivers.  The updated drivers are available for download on the Houselogix website.  We encourage all dealers to update to the latest versions of Chowmain drivers to ensure stability and reboot the system after update either manually or via the Houselogix auto update driver.

I am on an older version (pre 2.6) of Control4 OS.  Does this effect me?
No.  If you are on OS 2.5.3 or older this issue does not effect you.
 
I have never used the debug logs.  Does this effect me?
If you have never enabled the debug logs then no the issue will not effect you.  We do still encourage you to update to the latest version in case you ever need to use the debug logs.
 
I have only used the Print functionality.  Does it effect me?
If you have only ever used the 'Print' debug logs then no the issue will not effect you.  We do still encourage you to update to the latest version in case you ever need to use the debug logs.
 
Do i need to reboot the system after updating the driver?
Yes.  You will need to reboot your Control4 system to ensure that the update is applied correctly and the old log files are deleted.
